Don is an accomplished woodturner from Gainesville, FL. He attended the Arrowmont School of Art and Crafts under David Ellsworth. He has also attended the David Ellsworth School of Woodturning in Quakertown, PA. He has attended the John C. Campbell Folk School under John Mascoll. He has twice assisted David Ellsworth at the Arrowmont School
of Arts
and Crafts with a class on “Turning a Hollow Form”. He has assisted John Jordan, at Arrowmont with a class on “Inspirations & Surface Design for Intermediate to Advanced Woodturners”. He has provided demonstrations and hands-on training sessions at AAW Chapters, schools, libraries, and sawdust sessions. He demonstrated and taught workshops at the 2004 Florida Woodturning Symposium. He is the inventor of Geiger’s Vertical Solution, a sharpening system for woodturners.
